Privacy for family coordination.
This policy explains how Oren uses information for family asks, agenda items, calendar import, and bill reminders, including how Oren handles Google Calendar data when a user connects a Google account.
Overview
Oren is a family AI app that helps families turn everyday asks into clear agenda items and bills. Users may enter information by text, voice, or photo, create personal or family records, invite household members, and continue conversation history to refine or search prior asks.
Calendar Data
When a user connects Google Calendar or iCloud Calendar, Oren uses calendar access to import and display existing schedule information in Oren. For Google Calendar, Oren requests read-only access. Calendar data may include calendar names, event titles, start and end times, all-day status, location, description, and event status when needed to show the schedule correctly.
Oren uses imported calendar data to help users see their personal schedule, understand family schedule context, and avoid entering the same events again. Oren does not use Google Calendar data for advertising, does not sell Google Calendar data, and does not transfer Google Calendar data to unrelated third parties.
Oren does not create, edit, delete, or share events in a user's Google Calendar account. Calendar information imported into Oren is used only for the calendar and family coordination features visible in the Oren app.
Storage and Retention
Oren may store imported calendar event data so the app can show calendar events, provide schedule context, and keep the user's calendar view available across sessions. Oren keeps calendar data only as needed to provide these user-facing calendar features, account support, security, or legal compliance.
Personal and Family Sharing
Oren supports personal and family views. Personal agenda items, bills, and imported calendar events stay private unless the user chooses to share an item or relevant schedule context with the family view. Shared family items may be visible to household members according to the user's household membership and app permissions.
Google API Limited Use
Oren's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Oren uses Google Calendar data only to provide or improve visible calendar and family coordination features in Oren.
Oren does not transfer, sell, or use Google Calendar data for advertising, retargeting, personalized ads, data brokerage, credit-worthiness, lending, or unrelated analytics. Oren personnel do not access Google Calendar data unless the user asks for support, access is needed for security or abuse investigation, access is required by law, or the data is aggregated for internal operations.
User Control
- Users can disconnect external calendar access from Oren settings or from the calendar provider account settings.
- After disconnecting, Oren stops using that provider account for new calendar syncs.
- Users can choose whether an item remains personal or appears in the family view.
- Users can request support for account, household, or imported data questions by contacting Oren support.
Bills and Financial Limits
Bills in Oren are used only for family records and reminders. Oren does not provide payment processing, banking, loans, investment services, or financial advice.
